IHG Hotels Resorts, a global leader in the hospitality industry, has expanded its presence in Pakistan by signing a franchise agreement with MGC Developments for the development of Holiday Inn Suites Islamabad DHA II. This landmark hotel is set to open its doors in August 2028 and will contribute significantly to IHG's worldwide portfolio, which includes more than 1,000 operational Holiday Inn hotels.

As an iconic brand known for its rich history and continuous evolution, Holiday Inn has consistently placed the guest at the core of its innovation journey. The Islamabad property will redefine in-hotel experiences with a new concept - an Open Lobby that serves as a dynamic hub where guests can work, dine or unwind seamlessly. Designed to meet the needs of contemporary travelers, this revolutionary approach is anticipated to enhance Holiday Inn's reputation as one of the most beloved and trusted hotel brands worldwide.

Commenting on this strategic move, Htham Mattar, Managing Director for India, Middle East Africa at IHG Hotels Resorts, stated: The introduction of Holiday Inn Suites Islamabad DHA II underscores our commitment to expanding in promising markets like Pakistan. The capital city offers a unique blend of natural beauty, rich culture and strategic significance that aligns perfectly with IHG's vision of contributing positively to tourism while ensuring guests experience international standards of hospitality.

Ch. Nouman Iftikhar, the Founder CEO of MGC Developments, expressed his excitement about this partnership: We are proud to collaborate with one of the world's leading hospitality companies, IHG Hotels Resorts. This project marks an essential part of our commitment to deliver high-quality projects in Pakistan while leveraging IHG's unmatched expertise in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This new venture is particularly significant as it addresses the growing demand for quality accommodations in Pakistan and complements government initiatives promoting tourism growth. The Holiday Inn Suites Islamabad DHA II will offer amenities such as well-appointed rooms and suites, a restaurant that serves all-day dining options, a bar, fitness center, outdoor pool, spa facilities, conference spaces, and high-speed internet access.

The hotel's prime location in DHA Phase II also ensures guests have easy access to the city's vibrant lifestyle including entertnment, recreation, shopping, and dining experiences. Visitors can look forward to exploring iconic landmarks like Fsal Mosque, Shakarparian National Park, and Pakistan Monument while staying at this conveniently located property.

IHG currently operates 193 hotels under nine different brands across South West Asia, Middle East Africa including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express and plans to open another 160 in the next three to five years.
